Internet Use at the Public Library

The Ketchikan Public Library offers once-a-day Internet access for 15 minutes to visitors. Guest User passes can be obtained at the Circulation Desk. To sign up for an Internet slot, please go the Registration Kiosk next to the Circulation Desk.

Regular one-hour Internet is for Ketchikan Public Library cardholders only. Library patrons must have signed the "Acceptable Use Policy" before using the Internet. To sign up for an Internet slot, please go the Registration Kiosk next to the Circulation Desk. You will need your library card to reserve an Internet slot. The library cannot take phone reservations. One-hour time slots are available between 10 AM and closing. Patrons may sign up for a time slot later in the day if the terminals are in current use, but if they are more than 5 minutes late, they will lose their time slot. Patrons may use the Internet terminals once a day only. If you need help getting started or need to use the Internet for research, please consult with a Librarian. Library staff cannot assist with e-mail questions or problems. The purpose of having Internet access in the Library is for research and information.
